P&O Cruises and Cunard are a globally-renowned multinational cruise operator. Coffee machines and juice dispensers are common throughout their ships.

The challenge

P&O Cruises and Cunard’s goal was to secure excellent aftercare provision for its beverage equipment and put the aftercare contract out to tender. The challenge was to improve the service and deliver a reliable service.

Our solution

With our experience of installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing coffee machines and other beverage equipment, we were well placed to win the contract and meet the company’s requirements. The demands of the maritime environment are very different to those of land-based customers, so our solution was specifically tailored: from our base in Southampton, we work on ships in port, and our engineers are also able to fly out and join ships in other parts of the world. We also take steps to make sure stock levels meet the demands of shipping schedules, with a ready supply of spare parts and replacement machines.

The results

With a dedicated team based in and around Southampton, we have been able to meet the demands of the Carnival contract and meet the service levels the company needs and expects. We are able to respond promptly to situations that may occur and we make sure that P&O Cruises and Cunard’s management always have clear visibility of tasks carried out and information on overall spend.
