Field Service Solutions stay local as national expansion gathers pace

The ongoing growth and expansion of coffee machine repair experts, Field Service Solutions (FSS), is gathering pace with the recent relocation to new, larger bespoke premises in Bury.

The nationwide firm, founded by seasoned industry expert, Kris Gibson, is forging ahead as the UK’s leading independent coffee machine servicing and repair company. The company’s  service proposition sees FSS work across all leisure and industry sectors managing everything from bulk brew equipment, through to ‘bean to cup’ and traditional machines.

With a growing reputation and full geographical coverage, the expert services of FSS are being utilised by customers ranging from national coffee shops and bar chains to cruise ships, stadia, shopping centres and so much more. Covering the whole of the UK, the company continues to recruit locally, nurturing a local and expert workforce who form part of the national FSS operation. The FSS head office has now relocated to Waterfold Business Park in Bury where a support team of over 20 will act as a central hub of operations, working with a team of 40 highly skilled engineers.

Kris Gibson explained: “Retaining our family first ethos and principles is incredibly important to us as a business. Taking our next step and the relocation to new offices has been a critical move for us and we took the decision to stay in Bury and grow our team here rather than relocate to a major city such as Manchester. We know that we can tap into a highly skilled local market here as we grow and we want to create opportunities in our home town.

“On a broader note, we have rolled this model out nationally and plan to add to our regional teams of expert engineers who provide a service for their local area. The whole ethos is based on sustainable principles that supports businesses and people on a local level, without stretching resources. The positive counter effect in taking this approach is huge and envelopes the wellbeing of our teams, the relationships we build with our customers, the minimisation of any possible environmental impact and so much more.”

The new centrally positioned FSS head office will allow the firm to continue to develop its in-house training centre, designed for the ongoing development of internal engineers as well as partner/client engineers. The centre is fully equipped to include unrivalled facilities and equipment, facilitating the repair and refurbishment of all models of coffee machines.

At ground floor level, an on-site coffee lounge will be created housing various coffee machine styles within a relaxed environment, providing a space for staff to enjoy and a place for customers to visit and become part of the FSS experience first-hand.

Kris concluded: “We want to be an open, transparent and welcoming company and retain the friendly centred ethos we have built. We’ve recently rebranded and have launched a new website and look forward to sharing our future developments, insights and experiences moving forward with our audience.”
